Everything published on BioRx (every compound entry, evidence grading, summary and explainer) is general information about published scientific research. It describes what studies have reported. It does not, and cannot, tell you what is appropriate for you, for anyone you care for, or for any patient.

We do not know your medical history, your diagnoses, your medications, your allergies, your test results, your pregnancy status, your age, or anything else that would be required to say anything meaningful about your health. Nothing on this site is tailored to any individual.

No doctor-patient relationship

Reading BioRx, contacting us, subscribing to our newsletter, or corresponding with anyone associated with BioRx does not create a doctor-patient, pharmacist-patient, or any other professional or therapeutic relationship. We are not your clinicians. We cannot assess you, we cannot prescribe for you, and we cannot advise you.

We do not respond to requests for personal medical guidance, and we will not answer questions of the form "should I take X" or "what dose should I use". This is not unhelpfulness; it is the only responsible position available to us.

We do not publish protocols

BioRx deliberately publishes no dosing information, no schedules, no cycles, no routes of administration and no stacking guidance, and it does not identify suppliers. Dosing is a clinical judgement that depends on the individual and belongs with a qualified prescriber. Please do not ask us for it.

Most of what we describe is not approved medicine

Many peptides discussed on this site are research compounds. They may never have been tested in humans. They may not be licensed as medicines in the UK or anywhere else. Products sold online as "research chemicals" or "not for human consumption" are not manufactured to pharmaceutical standards, are frequently mislabelled, may be contaminated or entirely different from what is claimed, and may be unlawful to supply for human use.

An entry appearing on BioRx is not an indication that a compound is safe, effective, legal, or suitable for use by anyone.

In an emergency

BioRx is not monitored for urgent messages and cannot help in an emergency.

Reporting side effects

If you suspect a side effect from a medicine, vaccine or medical device in the UK, report it through the MHRA Yellow Card scheme at yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk, or via the Yellow Card app. Reports can be made by patients as well as professionals, and they matter.
